About The Annual Meeting & Awards Luncheon
At the Annual Meeting and Awards Luncheon, The Chamber recognizes loyal members, board members, and team leaders, as well as the recipients of the Community Citizen of the Year, Chamber Volunteer of the Year, Diplomat of the Year, Chamber Emerging Leader and Chairman’s Award.
Members of the Chamber submit nominations for three awards: Community Citizen of the Year and Chamber Emerging Leader.
The Chamber also honors a Legacy Award Recipient that has made a significant contribution to the betterment of The Woodlands Area and South Montgomery County. The Legacy award recipient is honored in recognition of their extraordinary personal commitment leaving a long-lasting impact on the community and future generations.

Brad Bailey Named Community Citizen of the Year
The Chamber is thrilled to recognize Brad Bailey, Chairman of The Woodlands Township Board of Directors, as the 2026 Community Citizen of the Year, recognizing his leadership, public service and continued commitment to strengthening The Woodlands area. Chamber representatives surprised Bailey with the announcement during public comment at The Woodlands Township Board of Directors meeting on Thursday, July 16.
Josie Lewis Named 2026 Emerging Leader of the Year
The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Josie Lewis, Director of Sales for Visit The Woodlands, as its 2026 Emerging Leader of the Year. Chamber staff recently surprised Lewis with the announcement during a special visit to her office. The Emerging Leader Award celebrates a professional who is building a successful career, making innovative contributions within their organization and distinguishing themselves as a rising leader in the community.
