The Montgomery County Food Bank partners with Entergy to provide over 23,000 meals to the food insecure in Montgomery County.
Over six hundred McDermott employees currently building the new Entergy Power Station in Willis, Texas, showed their generous spirits by recently hosting a food and fund drive for the Montgomery County Food Bank. With an additional match from Energy Texas, the result was an astounding 23,200 meals for the food insecure children, seniors, families and individuals in Montgomery County. A wonderful giveback before this holiday season.
“Caring for those in need is a key part of Entergy’s mission,” said Sallie Rainer, president and CEO of Entergy Texas. “We are excited that we are able to partner with McDermott and the Montgomery County Food Bank to help our communities this holiday season.”
Allison Hulett, President & CEO of the Montgomery County Food Bank, added, “Our mission at the Montgomery County Food Bank is uniting our community to fight hunger. This effort by McDermott and Entergy Texas shows their leadership in that cause. We loved working with them.”
