DRC-MC rated 2019 Top Rated Nonprofit by GreatNonprofits
Conroe, TX (November 19, 2019) – The Dispute Resolution Center of Montgomery County, Inc. (DRC-MC) is excited to share that they were named a “2019 Top-Rated Nonprofit” by GreatNonprofits, a leading provider of user reviews of charities and nonprofits, for the second year in a row. This is a huge honor among nonprofits and helps donors nationally identify worthy organizations.
The DRC-MC serves the community as a resource for resolving disputes, improving communication, and restoring relationships. Mediation helps to prevent disputes from escalating into serious civil or criminal issues by using professionally trained volunteer mediators who assist both parties to generate options to resolve their dispute, if possible.
“It is a great honor to get this award 2 years in a row as a Top-Rated Nonprofit,” Elaine Roberts, Executive Director of the DRC-MC. We work very diligently with over 60 volunteers to assist the community to come to peaceful resolutions of disputes in a quick and affordable manner”.
The Top-Rated Nonprofit Award is based on the rating and number of reviews that DRC-MC received from volunteers, donors, and recipients of their services.
Lois Voth, Board President had this remark, “My experience as a volunteer mediator with the DRC-MC over more than eight years has been very positive. The shared goal of providing affordable, high-quality dispute resolution services, along with continuing mediator training, has built a strong organization. I have been honored to work with talented, compassionate mediators who bring their unique styles to the table. A strong administrative staff and caring board provide constant support and guidance. Deciding disputes in court may be more expensive and adversarial than necessary. Alternatively, I recommend using mediation at the DRC-MC.”
GreatNonprofits is the leading website where people share stories about their personal experiences for more than 1.6 million charities and nonprofits. The GreatNonprofits Top-Rated Awards are the only awards for nonprofits determined by those who have direct experience with the charities – as donors, volunteers and recipients of aid.
