    Job Description:

    The Recreation Supervisor assists the Director of Recreation to oversee all functions of running a smooth and efficient department, exceeding guest’s expectations.  The Recreation supervisor is an expert at multitasking.  Assisting the team, helping with guest experience, hosting shows and entertainment, assistant managing the department and able to fill in for any recreation position.



    High school graduate or equivalent. College degree in recreation preferred. Two years experience in a supervisory role. Previous recreation or fitness background. Ability to communicate effectively. Host/Emcee experience. Childcare experience. Ability to manage email account, word & excel. CPR, First Aid and Lifeguard certified.



    Assist in supervision of Recreation staff and day to day operation of Recreation department. Serve as a host/emcee for special events and group activities. Be a source of all resort specific information to provide a fun and memorable experience. Ensuring a fun and upbeat environment for guests and staff. Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment according to safety guidelines. Engage with guests and encourage participation in planned activities. Resolve any guest concerns to their satisfaction. Assist with activities agenda creation and scheduling. Ensure quality control of guest entertainers. Responsible for all inventory and preparing the proper purchase orders, to be turned in to the Director of Recreation. Assist with weekly schedule for all recreation staff and day-to-day payroll, double-checking that all payroll corrections have been made. Put together agendas that address issues and concerns of their own during department meetings. Assist Director in all hiring, reviewing, and promoting within the department. Assist with ongoing training and all new staff training. Be prepared and expected to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.



    Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Manager. Attend necessary meetings in the absence of the Manager.



    Working predominately outdoors during all seasons and indoors in a well ventilated environment. Outside in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.



    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, balancing, and pushing/pulling.
    • Frequent lifting carrying up to 50 lbs.  Occasional lifting carrying up to 100 lbs or more.
    • Frequent use of manual dexterity, fine, and gross motor skills.
    • Constant hearing and vision utilized.
