    Job Description:

    The Recreation Attendant is seasonal from March through the end of the summer.


    The Recreation Attendant creates a fun, upbeat environment; engaging with guests and encouraging guest participation, while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment according to standards and expectations.



    High school graduate or equivalent. Previous recreation or fitness background. Ability to communicate effectively. Host/Emcee experience preferred. Childcare experience a plus. CPR and First Aid certified.



    Encourage, recruit, register, and schedule guests to participate in recreation activities. Serve as a host/emcee for special events and group activities. Be a source of all resort specific information to provide a fun and memorable experience. Promote a fun, upbeat, and comfortable environment for guests. Provide information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities. Promote the rules and regulations of the recreation facility intended for the safety and welfare of guests and members. Observe activity in the recreational facility and respond appropriately in accordance with local operating procedure in the event of an emergency. Be aware of possible situations where guests are not able to safely participate in an activity and inform supervisor/manager. Clean and maintain recreational equipment and supplies. Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety training and certifications. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests' service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Process payments for rental equipment, recreation activities, facility rentals, or retail sales. Be prepared and expected to work night, weekend and holiday shifts.



    Respond to any reasonable task assigned by Manager. Attend necessary meetings in the absence of the Manager.



    Working predominately outdoors during all seasons and indoors in a well ventilated environment. Outside in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.



    • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, balancing, and pushing/pulling.
    • Frequent lifting carrying up to 50 lbs.  Occasional lifting carrying up to 100 lbs or more.
    • Frequent use of manual dexterity, fine, and gross motor skills.
    • Constant hearing and vision utilized.
