    Job Description:

    The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for assisting the Director of Housekeeping and Housekeeping Manager in overseeing the proper and smooth operation of the Housekeeping Department. The Housekeeping Supervisor will monitor all aspects of employee activity to ensure the highest quality in cleanliness and service.  Responsible for inspecting all guest rooms after the room attendants have finished cleaning them and checking all clean and vacant rooms daily.



    High school diploma or equivalent. Three years housekeeping experience, preferably with a minimum of one year in a supervisory role. Housekeeping Inspector experience preferred. Ability to handle high stress situations. Excellent communication skills. Detail oriented and good organizational skills. Bilingual English and Spanish strongly preferred.



    Inspect rooms daily (vacant, occupied) Oversee the performance and cleaning standards of assigned housekeepers. Assist and supervise staff. Complete morning assignments for housekeepers and housemen. Prioritize and direct work of staff. Responsible for the training of employees. Update room statuses throughout the day on the hotel computer system. Responsible for the care and cleanliness of all areas of responsibility. Evaluate performance of staff. Report deficiencies and maintenance requirements. Maintain schedule of all weekly/monthly special projects. Remain alert, courteous and helpful to guests and co-workers at all times.


    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: All other duties as requested by the Director of Housekeeping.


    ENVIRONMENT: Indoor work with hard and carpeted surfaces. Occasional outdoor work. Good ventilation with artificial lighting. Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals.



    • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and pushing pulling
    • Constant lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs, frequent lifting/carrying of up to 75 lbs, and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 100 lbs or more.
    • Constant manual dexterity of hands and gross motor skills; constant vision and hearing.
