    Job Description:

    This position is Seasonal from March through the end of the summer.

     

    BASIC FUNCTION:  The Housekeeping Pool Attendant is responsible for the daily cleaning duties throughout the Resort outdoor and pool deck areas.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

    Ability to interact well with others.

    • Ability to work outdoors during summer heat/sun and inclement weather.

    • Ability to effectively communicate in the English language.

    • Ability to utilize cleaning chemicals and operate cleaning equipment (pressure washer).

    • Ability to transport, handle, and/or lift up to 50 lbs; housekeeping supplies and towels.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Following assigned job tasks issued by a supervisor daily.

    • Responding to any guest requests or complaints in an expedient, professional manner, notifying supervisors to ensure follow up.

    • Making every attempt to recognize any guest by name and to convey our obvious, enthusiastic appreciation for their patronage. 

    • Removing all debris and trash in pool deck and outdoor areas and restrooms when necessary and cleaning ashtrays and ash urns in all public areas as needed.

    • Maintaining adequate supplies, cleanliness, and organization of all Housekeeping storage closet inventory.

    • Cleaning public restrooms and maintaining all supplies to those areas.

    • Cleaning and sanitizing pool furniture, to include tables, chairs, lounge chairs, and pool features.

    • Delivering towels, linens and supplies to pools and removal of used towels for cleaning.

    • Assisting Room Attendants with heavy cleaning of guest rooms and suites as directed. Power-washing pool decks and outdoor areas, as instructed, throughout the resort.

    • Assisting other Housekeeping team members with their job tasks when necessary.

    • Reporting any repairs or damage to equipment or work areas to a supervisor.

    • Assisting all Housekeeping and Laundry personnel in the completion of specific job tasks when necessary.

     

    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

    Any other task, written or verbal, that is assigned by Management. Maintain a good working relationship with all Departments.

     

    ENVIRONMENT:

    Regular exposure to cleaning chemicals.  Outdoors, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and pushing pulling

    • Constant lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs, frequent lifting/carrying of up to 75 lbs, and occasional lifting/carrying of up to 100 lbs or more.

    • Constant manual dexterity of hands and gross motor skills; constant vision and hearing.
