The General Maintenance Tech will assist guests and resort with maintenance requests as assigned, identify problems, and perform various room and resort preventative maintenance tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. One year experience in maintenance and repairs in a large, high volume location. Experience in hospitality industry preferred. (CPO) Certified Pool Operator preferred. Ability to use hand tools.
Resolves guests’ maintenance problems and handles all guest requests. Perform simple preventative maintenance tasks in all guestrooms and other resort areas (i.e. change filters, replace light bulbs, repair drapery tracks, etc…) Identify problems that cannot be readily repaired in the guests rooms and submit work orders for those problems. Complete basic work order requests as assigned for the resort. Perform swimming pool chemical tests and make necessary corrections, with training. Accurately complete daily rounds sheets and identify and report major problems.
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS: Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager.
ENVIRONMENT: Works in all areas of the property, both inside and outside, possible in inclement weather. Must be able to work at various heights on ladders, roofs, etc.
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, crouching, kneeling, and pushing pulling.
- Frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs and occasional lifting/carrying of 50, 75, or100 lbs or more.
- Frequent manual dexterity of hands, fine and gross motor skills; constant vision and hearing.
