    Job Description:

    The Host is responsible for greeting guests and seating them according to procedures, while maintaining a fun and upbeat atmosphere for guests according to standards and expectations.  Full-time and Part-time positions available.

     

    QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE

    High school diploma or equivalent. One-year high volume restaurant experience. Good customer service skills. Pleasant personality.

     

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    Help plan and coordinate timely seating of guests. Responsible for hanging guests’ coats. Take reservations in person and over the phone, using professional language at all times. Answer telephones, responding to guest’s questions in a professional manner. Knowledge of resort services and amenities. Maintain cleanliness of coatroom and podium areas. Maintain perfectly clean uniform.

     

    MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

    Respond to any reasonable task as assigned by supervisor or manager. Assist Captains and Backwaiters on an as-needed basis. Clean and re-set tables as needed. Assist in other Food and Beverage departments as needed.

     

    ENVIRONMENT:

    Indoors, climate controlled environment. Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot plates and silver. Outdoors, with exposure to outdoor climate and elements.

     

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS (as required by OSHA and ADA – US only): 

    • Requires constant standing, walking, and carrying less than 10 lbs.  Occasionally lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
    • Occasional bending, reaching, balancing, and pushing/pulling.
    • Requires occasional manual dexterity, gross motor skills, with frequent vision, and hearing.
