• The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce to Host Seminar on Small Business Financials, Cash Management

    The Woodlands, TX – The Woodlands Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a seminar on understanding financial statements, the report card of business, and the corporate process of collecting and managing cash, with guest speaker Lynne Abercrombie of Haynie & Company on Wednesday, April 24 from 9-11 a.m. at The Chamber’s Lakeshore Conference Room, located at 9320 Lakeside Blvd., Suite 200 in The Woodlands.  
     
    The seminar, “Understanding Your Financials and Cash Management” is designed for small or potential business owners and will teach the art of reading, understanding and analyzing company financials. The seminar will break down financial statement components like the income, retained earnings and comprehensive income statements as well as explain balance sheets and discuss accounting policies so they become a useful tool, and not a burden, to business owners. 
     
    Abercrombie, a CPA, CGMA and Audit Partner of Haynie and Company, specializes in helping clients understand the audit and review process, planning prospective transactions and how these compliance services fit into the overall business strategy. She has over 35 years in public accounting, encompassing all phases of financial, tax and advisory services. She has dealt with closely held business primarily engaged in the manufacturing, distribution, service, construction, health care, engineering and real estate industries.
