Download LIFETIME Membership Information
1. Check that your organization is a Chamber member in good standing.
REGULATIONS & GUIDELINES What is a Chamber sponsor? A sponsor is an individual, within a Chamber member organization, who influenced and assisted the incoming member with their decision to join. A Chamber sponsor is identified by the incoming Chamber member and MUST be written as such on the Membership Application at time of enrollment. A sponsor's membership must remain in good standing during the 12 month term. How do I get started? The Lifetime Membership Agreement must be signed, dated and verified by the following three following parties: 1) the original Chamber member, 2) Director of Sales, and 3) Director of Membership. What is the timeframe? A lifetime membership must be earned within 12 consecutive calendar months, or 365 consecutive days. The starting month is determined by the Chamber member, starting on the first day of the month and concluding on the last business day of the previous month one year later. How is the total calculated? New Chamber members have the option to pay for their membership dues in advance, semi- annual or through a monthly draft. If the newly-sponsored member discontinues their membership within the first year, for any reason, then only the monies collected prior to cancellation will be applied toward the sponsoring member's goal of $8,500. Who is a prospect? A prospect is (1) any organization that is new to our area or (2) an established organization that could benefit from Chamber membership. If the organization was previously a Chamber member, but allowed their membership to lapse, they may be sponsored again six months aftertheir drop date. Contact the Chamber's Sales or Membership departments for confirmation determined by the information within the Chamber's master database. What is the definition of "lifetime membership" and is it transferrable? As long as the Chamber exists, the individual will be considered a Lifetime member. Lifetime membership status is transferable with the "individual" who was instrumental inestablishing the lifetime Chamber membership. What if I collect more than $8,500? Should you acquire $8,500 in membership before the designated 12 months is over, you may apply the additional revenue to the start of a 2nd lifetime membership. A new date will then be determined and new Lifetime Membership Agreement will be signed.
One lifetime membership not enough? Acquire a lifetime membership more than once. Should you wish to be recognized at a higher investment level, and yield the benefits of the different tiers, you may earn up to 3 lifetime memberships.
NOTE: Lifetime Members will be listed alphabetically under the category "Life Members" within the Chamber's directories and printed materials. Please know that a Lifetime Membership does not replace a company's membership. |
