Shootout for Soldiers
The Shootout for Soldiers is a 24 hour lacrosse game benefiting wounded American military members. The mission of SFS is to use the game of lacrosse to engage communities with their local veterans and support their healthy and successful transition into civilian life. All proceeds benefit 4 national charities (Gary Sinise Foundation, Semper Fi Fund, Army Ranger Lead the Way Fund and Team Red, White and Blue) and 2 local charities (Lone Survivor Foundation and one TBD). SFS-Texas invites the community to join in the festivities and watch the games. The event begins with Opening Ceremonies at 6:30 pm on Friday, July 8th followed by the first 'game' of Veterans and Active Duty military at 7 pm. The remaining 23 'games' will be played by teams of all ages from all over the state. Closing ceremonies and check presentations will be after the last game at 7 pm on Saturday, July 9th.
