Human resource management is one of the most important aspects of successfully running any business, big or small. It is important to be familiar with the ever-changing set of labor and employment laws passed by the state and federal government.
This class will offer an introduction into the various aspects of HR management, including discussion of which state and federal laws pertain to small businesses.
Haley Paul practices business and commercial litigation, with a particular emphasis on labor and employment law. She employs a client-based approach, tailoring her methods and tactics to the immediate needs of the client.
Haley has successfully represented a number of employers during investigations by the Department of Labor’s Wage and Hour Division and the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. She has represented and counseled employers through Form I-9 audits by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
Haley has successfully represented employers in Fair Labor Standards Act cases, including several collective actions, reaching favorable settlements, in some cases, and winning at trial.
