Saturday, November 4th, the 5th Annual Faith-Fest will unite family, friends, and local community Christian leaders through music, worship, and fellowship for a free event in Heritage Park beginning at 1:00pm and continuing through the evening.
Originally organized through a small group of churches and community leaders, the celebration event has grown to include Congressman Kevin Brady, Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, Senator Brandon Creighton, Judge Wayne Mack, and Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick are the Power Team speakers. A Freedom Rally will take place from 4:00pm-6:30 with this team of leaders seeking to eliminate the Johnson Amendment as a part of his tax reform plan to put a stop to the IRS targeting of churches.
Speaking with Congressman Brady will be Pastor Steve Riggle, Ralph Reed and Reverend Rafael Cruz. The first 100 people through the gates starting at 4:30PM will get a FREE signed copy of Rafael Cruz's book, A Time for Action. This year sponsors include Congressman Kevin Brady, MHW Real Estate, Woodforest National Bank, West Conroe Baptist Church, Grace Lutheran Church, Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Caney Creek Cowboy Church, Lone Star Cowboy Church, Pier 105 Marina, Texas Music Christian Association, First Conroe, McKenzie’s Barbeque and Burgers, Vernon’s Kountry Katfish, and Air 1 FM radio. Proceeds from sponsorships will assist faith based non-profits in their Hurricane Harvey Relief for our community-All The King’s Horses, Calvary Steel Ministries, Compassion United, Crises Assistance Center of Montgomery, First Liberty, Home of Hope, Project Mentor, and St. Vincent de Paul in Conroe
The line-up of Christian music performers include headliner Building 429 (playing immediately following the Freedom Rally from 7-9PM), Bri Bagwell, Chris August, Chad Strader, Hawk Nelson, Josh Wilson, and Rex Robards and the Grateful.
Jody Czajkoski, the founder of Faith Fest, is energized with the momentum the event is taking in the community. “We wanted to raise awareness for the local charities that serve the community”, said Czaikoski. “These are the heroes of the community”.
