Dear Fellow Chamber Members: It is indeed an honor and privilege to serve as your 2011 Chairman of the Board this year, and I am looking forward to an exciting and productive year. Our community is so uniquely different from anywhere else; the Chamber serves as a perfect conduit between businesses, corporations, nonprofits, individuals and teams. The relationships our Chamber has built with our local cornerstones, such as the Lone Star College System, the Economic Development Partnership, The Woodlands Development Company, The Woodlands Township and The Woodlands Convention & Visitors Bureau allow for a unique transfer of information and ideas. As President & CEO of Interfaith of The Woodlands, and the Interfaith Community Clinic, Past President of The Conroe Independent School District Board of Trustees and longtime Chamber member, I am deeply committed to the success of our community, which translates to the success of each business within our realm. The Chamber truly works for those who take advantage of the numerous ways in which to become entrenched in our community. I encourage each of you to take full advantage of the wonderful network provided through our Chamber. Challenge yourself to attend a networking event, join a team, host a Chamber social- or try them all! As in all organizations, leadership is the key to success, and our Chamber has wonderful direction and insight with Karen Hoylman, President and CEO, along with the Chamber staff. They truly feel the urge to assist each individual and business to reach their full potential, and never fail to recognize the importance of giving back. I am proud to work alongside them this year to create "ripples and waves" of positive effects in our community. As we move forward in the new Chamber year, I hope to personally connect with each of you. There's no place like home, and there is no place like The Woodlands, thanks to each and every one of you.
